Rose Cage was designed around the tension between containment and decoration — the corset as a cage, the roses as something trying to grow through it. The bilateral and one-sided flower options were a deliberate choice to give the piece two distinct personalities. The bilateral version is more symmetrical and formal, reading as a complete garment. The one-sided version is more editorial — the asymmetry draws the eye and makes the piece feel less like a costume and more like a design decision. The pointed V-neckline and front lace-up are both functional and aesthetic: the lace-up allows the fit to be adjusted across a range of body types, and the V-point creates a silhouette that elongates the torso when worn with a high-waisted skirt.

I was initially worried it might look cheap on... but omg, it’s stunning! The overall quality is great, it feels really high-end and textured. I couldn't tie it properly by myself so my waist looks a bit thick here, so you definitely want to get someone to help you lace up the ribbons to really cinch in that waistline. I’m wearing two petticoats with it—a thin pumpkin petticoat underneath and a black fluffy petticoat on top.
