Design Notes
For the Cabinet Of Curiosities II collection, the blue morpho butterfly is adopted as the core motif. Designs draw inspiration from Morpho Helena, Morpho Aurora, Morpho Eos, as well as translucent rib‑cage silhouettes.
To recreate the dreamlike iridescent luster of blue morpho butterflies, the butterfly‑specimen embroidery uses ultra‑fine polarized iridescent threads. Three distinct stitching techniques are applied, paired with dimensional hand‑sewn craftsmanship. The crafted artificial specimens rest upon the gown with quivering wings, just like real blue morpho butterflies.
Long Halter Neck Dress
This is an A‑line halter‑neck backless long gown dress. Multi‑material layered panels and irregular cutting create abundant dimensional layers.
The left chest is decorated with seven morpho‑butterfly embroideries, thirteen hand‑sewn rhinestones of varied shapes, and six bows in different sizes and materials. The butterfly embroidery inherits the pleated multi‑point hand‑sewing technique from the swallowtail butterfly series to deliver prominent three‑dimensional effects from all viewing angles.
Two unfastenable buttons sit at the back of the halter neck, paired with a back zipper for easy dressing. The relaxed fit accommodates various body shapes. Main fabric is soft tulle. All raw seams are finished with binding treatment; please take caution if you have sensitive skin.
Though the main body is solid‑colored, segmented panels of diverse textiles plus assorted ribbons and lace deliver rich visual layers. The solid‑toned base highlights the butterfly motifs. Polarized embroidered sequins and hand‑set rhinestones cluster on the left chest, shimmering brilliantly under varying ambient light.
